About the Author

Steven Maus was born in Mesa, Arizona, on August 12, 1987. He was homeschooled until he was fifteen, at which point he began attending CGCC in Gilbert. In addition to his studies, he is a charter member of the Creative Writing Club, and an active performer/contributer to literary events on campus.

He began writing when he was ten. Branchwater, a story of a tiny kingdom beseiged by an immense enemy army, is his first novel, and his second, Madeline City, is set to come out early next year. In addition to novels, he also writes short stories, poetry, he journals a bit here and there, and is hard at work teaching himself screenwriting. Steven has been featured on ReaderViews.com, has been a guest on the internet radio show Inside Scoop Live, and his work has been appeared on Associated Content.com.

He currently resides in Gilbert, Arizona, fresh back from spending a semester in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, working at Disneyworld, and his return to the beautiful one-hundred-ten degree Valley of the Sun has signaled the earnest beginning of his third great work of fiction.
